Bannon & Son practice furniture forensics: studying the original maker's techniques, joinery, engineering, and finish before touching a piece. The goal is never a fresh coat or a quick fix, it's returning a piece to its original condition, repairing damage and breakage so it's usable again without erasing the maker's original intent or the piece's history.

This work has included one-of-a-kind pieces from George Nakashima Studios and Wharton Esherick, along with other high-value custom furniture and family heirlooms that didn't survive the years as well as they should have.
